Gridlock Mind

Gridlock Mind is one of those puzzle games that looks trivial and then absolutely humbles you around level thirty. You slide tiles to clear paths, but each new mechanic layers onto the last until you're planning moves like a chess player.

What we appreciated most is the restraint. No lives, no timers, no nagging — just you and the puzzle. Hints exist but are tucked away so you never feel pushed toward them. Solving a stubborn board after ten minutes of staring is genuinely rewarding.

The difficulty curve is smooth enough that beginners won't bounce off, while the late levels will keep puzzle veterans busy for a long time. Easily one of the best on our list.
