Tideborne Command puts you in charge of a growing fleet and asks you to think several turns ahead. You're not just moving ships — you're juggling fuel, morale and weather patterns that can wreck a perfect plan in seconds. It's tense in the best way.

The interface took a session to click, but once it did, the depth revealed itself. Blockading a rival's supply route and watching their whole strategy fall apart is deeply satisfying. There's a lot of information on screen, though, so this one rewards patience.

It's not a game for a two-minute break. Set aside proper time, and it repays you with some of the most thoughtful strategy we've played on a phone this year.
